Outpatient Services Include:
  • Full Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) Lab
Pulmonary function tests measure the function of the lungs. The tests provide information about the amount of air a person's lungs can hold, and how effectively the lungs work. Test results can help the physician determine the cause of a symptom such as shortness of breath. The results of the tests may also be used to help confirm lung diseases, such as asthma, bronchitis or emphysema and/or monitor the effectiveness of the treatment prescribed.

  • Metabolic Studies -
These studies include calorimetry and cardiopulmonary exercise testing. Calorimetry measurements are used as an aide in determining a person's nutritional needs and management. Cardiopulmonary exercise testing is used to determine physical fitness and can also be used to aide the physician in differentiating a cardiac from a pulmonary problem.

  • Pulmonary Rehabilitation
Pulmonary Rehabilitation is a combination of educational sessions and physical conditioning for people with pulmonary disease. The program provides a multidisciplinary approach in an individually tailored program encouraging people with lung disease to lead full, satisfying lives.
