If you would like a snack or beverage, please ask your nurse. Families
and visitors are welcome to eat in the cafeteria located on the
first floor.
Valuables: The best way to protect your jewelry, keepsakes or
money is to leave them at home. If valuables are brought to the
Hospital a nurse can arrange to have them placed in temporary
storage. The Hospital does not accept responsibility for the
safekeeping of personal property unless it is placed in Hospital
storage. Please remember prescription drugs may require payment at the
time of discharge.
Personal Comfort Items: Personal comfort items such as
toiletries and slippers should be brought with you to the Hospital.
They can be provided by the Hospital, but there is a charge for them
that is not covered by insurance companies.
Visiting Hours: General visiting hours are from 11 a.m. to
8 p.m., and are typically limited to individuals over the age of 12.
Visiting hours differ in the Intensive Care, Obstetrics, Oncology, and
Pediatrics areas. Please check with the nursing staff in these areas.
Mail, Flowers, & Balloons: Volunteers deliver letters and
flowers to your room Monday through Saturday. Mail is picked up
twice daily from the patient floors. Flowers and plants may be
kept in your room except for Intensive Care Units and the Step
Down Unit. To protect patients and staff with latex allergies,
only mylar balloons can be delivered. Latex balloons are NOT
acceptable.
Tobacco-Free Campus: Regional Health is committed to providing
a safe, healthy and healing environment for our patients, employees
and visitors. We are pleased to announce beginning May 31, 2006 we
will be a tobacco-free campus.
Tobacco use will not be permitted on Regional Health property. We will ask that
while you are on our campus you refrain from the use of tobacco. Thank you for
your support in making our communities a healthier place to live, work and visit.
