“I had bypass surgery twice, 1981 and 1992 and as the years have gone by
I have found it very difficult to do the simple things of living. [I]
could not walk but a short distance without taking a break and taking
nitroglycerin even though I wore a nitro patch. I had to stop mowing
the lawn, digging in the garden, and other simple tasks like taking a
bath in the tub without help. I also got so weak that I had to use a
cane for balance.
After the first two weeks of ECP I could tell that my upper body strength
was improving and after five weeks, I no longer needed the cane for assistance.
Now that I’m in my last week of treatment, I feel as though I can do almost
anything that I wish to do, within reasons. I feel great thanks to all who
helped with my treatment.
I want to thank my doctor for recommending me for ECP. It has given me back
some of my old self.”
