How do I prepare for this test?
No special preparation is required for this procedure.
How long will it take to complete the test?
The procedure lasts about 15 minutes.
What can I expect during the test?
You will need to loosen your clothing from your upper body. Small, sticky pads, or electrodes, will be placed on your chest. A cable connects each pad to the EKG machine. The EKG machine records your heartbeats on paper. You must relax and be still for this test. The procedure is painless.
