Custer Regional Hospital is a 16-bed acute care facility that opened in June of 1962. The Hospital also operates Rural Health clinics; one clinic is located in Custer and the other is located in Hill City, S.D. Custer Regional Hospital also provides a 16-bed assisted living facility and a 76-bed long term care facility.

Custer Regional Hospital, Custer Community Health System, Inc. and the City of Custer have teamed up to provide the best possible health care for our community, with the city providing additional funding through a sales tax subsidy.

Custer is located approximately 42 miles southwest of Rapid City.
